ITTY-BITTY BUDDY - Frida, a tiny 1-year-old Chihuahua with a broken leg can’t get enough of cuddling with Moorpark resident Katie Dulak, a volunteer with Girl Scout Troop 60361 during Spaw Day at the Tiny Loving Canines rescue shop in the Simi Valley Town Center on Saturday, June 29. The puppy-primping fundraiser will support the rescue’s mission of saving and adopting out small dogs from local shelters.

MEMORIES OF MOM - Annalisa Ghanayem of Moorpark shares a quiet, tearful moment with freshly washed pup Olive during Spaw Day at the Tiny Loving Canines rescue shop in the Simi Valley Town Center on Saturday, June 29. Ghanayem’s mother, a lifelong dog lover who once owned a dog that looked just like Olive, passed away on June 17 and inspired her to bring her daughter and fellow members of Girl Scout Troop 60361 out to help other canines at the fundraiser. Donations raised from the puppy-primping will support the rescue’s mission of saving and adopting out small dogs from local shelters.
